Features and Functionality

The compact end closures independent of wall thick- ness are made of stainless steel and work without tie rods; the specimen is therefore also subjected to axial loads during tests. They are each fitted with a pair of quick release couplings that fix the sealing cap and the pipe and therefore firmly connect them to each other.
A special O-ring ensures reliable sealing between the pipe and the sealing cap.
The plug nipple for the water connection, the venting screw and the eyebolt for suspending the specimen are located on the upper closure cap.
A direct connection to the SensLine is also provided for larger dimensions. In this case, a separate measuring line is used for pressure measurement in order to elimi- nate pipe resistance and optimise pressure regulation.
